YBC Spring Mantra Box + Namaslay Review
I’ve had the wonderful pleasure of exploring the Yoga By Candace Spring Mantra Box in addition to reading Candace’s book, Namaslay, over the past few weeks.
If I were talking to you about either the Spring Mantra Box or Namaslay in person, I would shake you with excitement and urge you to grab both of these wellness tools. I’m so impressed and inspired by the intention and delivery behind both, and should you choose to bring either to your wellness world, I’m sure you will be too.
Namaslay which is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and in your local bookstores is part memoir, part take you by the hand, part swift kick in the ass in the best way. I’ve been following Candace’s blog for a while now, and she’s mentioned having fought for her health a few times, but I had no idea how insane that battle was. Still waters run deep.
I gained both personal and professional inspiration while reading Namaslay. Candace shares how she and her team built YBC from the ground up in the book - and then there’s the prejudging concept I really had to think about while reading Namaslay.

I mean here’s this beautiful woman sharing photos of advanced asana and smashing Olympic lifting on Instagram, and you would never know that Lyme Disease left her incapacitated for more than eight months! You would never know that Candace had to take her health into her own hands, and literally will her body to heal when doctors had given up on her. I get Namaslay, and I respect it.
I could go on about how great this book is, but I’ll try to wrap it up in a few more sentences before sharing the Mantra Box goodies with you. Namaslay makes a great gift for new or current yoga instructors and students of yoga alike. I’ve already begun integrating some of the techniques Candace broke down in my classes – little things that a new yoga instructor might not think of. I moved into my first pincha (forearm) stand and fallen angel with direction from the book, and see how this would have been so helpful at the beginning of my practice.
You can grab Namaslay on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. If you purchase the book and choose to leave an Amazon or Barnes & Noble review, you can screenshot that review and send it to @ybcsneakpeek on Instagram for a free gift!

What’s Inside + Sweet Deals
Floracopeia's Radiant Rose Eye Crème was my star player. I don’t use skin care products outside of body wash and olive or coconut oil, yet I’ve found myself applying this daily, especially before leading 6 am yoga. It does exactly what it says it would do – adding brightness and decreasing puffiness around the eyes.
Plant Therapy 10ml Germ Fighter Synergy Blend. We’ve added a few drops of this blend to olive oil as directed to use as a natural hand sanitizer. Boom!
This greeting card by Ingrid Stevens Photography was special to us. My daughter and her grandma are pen pals. They’ve got into the habit of sending one another notes via snail mail, and I enjoy watching their special relationship and connection. As soon as I saw this I knew, and ironically my daughter knew too, that she’d be writing a special note and sending it to Nana. She grabbed it and addressed it to her Nana before I had a chance to snap a photo. The little things!
Come on! Probiotics and omega-3’s in one box. Digestive heaven. Biohm Whole Probiotics are on another level offering 30 billion CFUs, good fungi, and an enteric capsule to help ensure that the good stuff gets to and through your digestive tract.

Our family loves trying new recipes! While we eat primarily grain and dairy free, it was very cool to find a gluten-free Tomato Risotto Meal Kit by Grainful Oats in the Mantra Box. It wasn’t a big hit with the little ones, but my husband and I enjoyed it. You can see how we served it above!

Do you like to have your tea and drink it too? I surely do; huge tea fan here, and a whole box of Happy Tea from Your Tea was included in the Spring Mantra Box! Both my husband and I enjoyed this subtle tea. It’s the perfect tea for honey – wink.
Last, but not least…
Looking forward to reading Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir (pictured at the beginning of this blog) written by Jenny Lawson.
Here’s what caught my attention in, “For every intellectual misfit who thought they were the only ones to think the things that Lawson dares to say out loud, this is a poignant and hysterical look at the dark, disturbing, and yet wonderful moments of our lives.”
